Although I am on indefinite hiatus and all of my money is going to lawyers, bills, books and soon to car repairs, I saw this while buying groceries and thought that I couldn't pass it up. The old beer companies hold a romantic notion as giants of capitalism even if they weren't the greatest beer makers. Their labels alone are staples of Americana that the modern microbrewers cannot touch. Of course the micros have them beat tastewise but nostalgia means something doesn't it? Yes. This is nostalgically light, crisp and rather sweet. I was surprised by the sweetnesss especially with the statement on the bottle of JUST THE KISS OF THE HOPS. I figured that would entail a bite that most of the standards never really had. Yet, the only thing hopping here is the spike in my blood sugar. But coupled with the apples, assorted fruits, water, vitamins and granola that I am prescribing to myself for a happier(HAHAHA!) and healthier life it washes down just fine. A surprisingly better than avergae micro bathwater.
