I'm bored and this only intensifies the sentiment. I only get bored about once every month or so and nothing can cure the feeling of restlessness. I think that's what families, girlfriends and kids are for. Well, happily no luck on two fronts there and the littlekin is not in my presence this weekend. So, I'm drinking this drab crap and becoming disgruntled as the glass empties. It has a nice roasted malt backbone but the lemon zest and feral spice additives don't quite sit well with me. In proper perspective it's a decent lager but as a session beer it falls more into the "boring English ale" category that you drink because nothing else is of worthy stock. Yeah, I'm complaining about a lager that tastes like an ale. And now it's Bedtime for Frances, kids.
