Shiner Holiday Cheer
Spoetzl Brewery
Shiner, Texas
For me, Shiner has been very hit or miss. While they have some good entry level craft beers just as many are macro-esque and quite cheap tasting. Not as cheap as some of your women but we aren't here to discuss your foibles but rather my fur ball preferences.
The fact that this beer is a peachy/pecan concoction totally caught me off-guard as I expected more of a cinnamon spice type of deal for a holiday spirit but I am not disappointed. There is also a nice hop coating and dark caramel malt infusion on the fruit/nut combo but the total combination does come across as tasting a little like frosting on something akin to a Miller High Life. I should mention also that I'm not complaining about it at all. Good stuff.
